There are four tiers: basic, the simplest tier, advanced, the second-most basic tier, elite, the second-most complex tier, and ultimate, the most complex tier. Mekanism uses a tier-based system when organizing several of its core features, including Energy Cubes and Factories.

Sorters only extract, they don’t insert.Mekanism is an independent tech mod that brings low, mid, and high tier machinery to Minecraft. If one bin isn’t set for anything then items will just randomly go in it. If that chest will only have ingots then all you need is to pull the items out into the bins and they’ll go to each respective bin as long as they are all set for a different type of ingot. Just set the ingot thing in the oredict and place one default ingot in the bins and the logistical sorter will automatically pull out from the chest and put it in the respective bin. You don’t need to make a filter for each ingot.

You can write in the oredict GUI of the sorter “ingots ” (or “ingot” I cant remember if plural or singular and you can also do it for ores with “ore ”) and it will filter any ingot in your game including any mods ingots. I have no idea how this is supposed to work now. If I do it this way, with the upper right chest having bronze and iron ingots in it, with the sorter going down being set to filter IRON INGOTS, and the sorter going left set to filter BRONZE INGOTS, all of the ingots will flow into the bottom right chest and then iron gets put into the bin, with bronze staying in the chest.

Maybe it's easier for the devs to code it that way? Who knows. I can make a network of sub-chests and then slowly filter them out. So, alright, I am limited by the chest's physical faces, as the logistical sorter can only pull stuff out from a chest, but not from a transporter. Thus they should all flow from the chest to the basic bin, correct? They don't. One of the bins' Logistical Sorter is set to filter only iron ingots. The Logistical Sorter next to it is set to filter out all ingots. There are 64 iron ingots in the wooden chest on the right.
